Group will meet at the Clinical Education Complex, 104 14th Street in Bowling Green. The support group has joined forces with the Kelly Autism Program (KAP) to better meet the needs of families in our area. Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week raises awareness of effective programs for children’s mental health needs, demonstrates how children’s mental health initiatives promote positive youth development, recovery and resilience, and shows how children with mental health needs thrive in their communities. In conjunction with Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has announced that May 8 will be a national day of recognition. During the month of May, please wear a green ribbon to show your support for services that provide assistance to children with mental health disorders and their families.
